Sandbox

Disposable Windows, real GPU

A Windows 11 VM with the graphics card passed through. No access to your files, the LAN or the other PC. Resets to clean every exit unless you say otherwise.

The kova CLI does what the menus do, for the terminal-shaped moments.

Power modes

Max, Balanced, Quiet. Governor, GPU power limit, scheduler and fan curve change live, no reboot.

Atomic updates

The next image lands in the spare slot. Boots once, checks itself, keeps or rolls back. You never see a half-updated system.

Backup and migrate

Incremental, encrypted, on btrfs send. A migration bundle carries your whole setup to a fresh install or a new PC.

Kova Cloud

Logs and crashes ship to Kova Cloud. One command makes a private link you can hand to whoever is helping.

Emulation, mods, VR

ROM manager with box art in Big Picture. Nexus and Mod Organizer via Proton. Monado and WiVRn for Quest over Wi-Fi.

Full-wipe installer

Lists every drive, secure-erases what you tick, installs clean. The only fresh start that is actually fresh.

Kova Bench

Our own benchmark, shipped in every Kova image. A Vulkan city scene, game-shaped CPU work, an asset-streaming test, and your real games. It runs by itself after every update, so a slow driver shows up as a number. Sign in to put your rig on the board.
